I banged away at this one for half an hour - Spoke to the Supervisor etc but could not get them to agree this offer existed (unless I successfully introduced a friend as a new customer). Since I don't have Talk and gave up on the clunky Max broadband service a couple of months ago, this may have had an impact (although they weren't admitting it).

The best I got was 75 + 60. Since this included not only replacing my Sky+ box with an HD box but also moving the Sky+ box to the location of my multi-room Sky box and wiring a second feed from the dish to the new Sky+ box location, I decided to take the offer. Delivery next Wed. We'll see how it turns out!

Re: Sky HD £75 + £30 install for existing!!!!

I had to reorder this for a friend last night, they did say £60 installation at first. But then I said, well it was £30 last week when you did the other offer.

End result was HD for £75 and £30 installation for Wednesday 10th September AM

So that's twice in a week Sky have done this offer so far, and I am oh so tempted to do a third purchase for myself, replacing our Sky+ box upstairs.

I bet Sky's HD subscribers are going through the roof. And I bet its only to combat the competition, if you can call it that.

Re: Sky HD £75 + £30 install for existing!!!!

I placed an order for this offer around 2 weeks ago and it was going to be installed this coming Wednesday.

I called Sky up and took a cancellation this Monday coming so Im getting the box installed 2 days early.

Called the above number explained a friend took out this offer and they gave it to me with no questions asked, not bad for £105.00 all in.

Regards

Re: Sky HD £75 + £30 install for existing!!!!

I put my order in on Wednesday, got told that they would halve the install to £30 if I kept 2 premium channels for the 12 months - not an issue for me...

Now roll on Monday for it to turn up!!

Welcome to modern times Keir. Good job, your mates in the Govt haven't ordered HD, they would probably lose the remotes or similar.

Re: Sky HD £75 + £30 install for existing!!!!

We've got a box in our office, thankfully haven't lost em yet, tho as we've only had it for the past month it wouldn't surprise me if it does soon!!

And yes, it's for work, didn't even have it on for the olympics...

Must say I'm surprised how quickly the box is turning up, 5 days is damn fast when it comes to sky....
