I thought the bold option was horrible. Since the text is thicker but it cuts off more of the words on the EPG.

Re: Sky+ HD & SkyHD Firmware Update R011

There are in effect a number of choices available to those with reduced visibility issues now with the new firmware:

      • Audio Description
      • Increase the Contrast
      • Increase the Font size

The STB can also be set up to highlight programmes with accessibility features.

      Why so many choices?

I guess with the range of TVs available, differences between how different eyesight issues affect people and personal preferences, this combination will hopefully go a long way to satisfying many people. Perhaps not everyone, but hopefully the majority.

Will this be all Sky does? I doubt it but certainly for the present time this is what is available.

Suggesting larger TVs is not going to be for everyone. A friend of mine can only see clearly with one eye. She has problems watching my 55" TV, but not the 40". However she does appreciate that watching a larger TV is better than say perhaps a 20" TV.
