      DRX890 HDMI RGB output

Is it the restricted 16-235 range or the full 0-255 range?

I'll be (subjectively) calibrating a new tv for my dad soon & everything i've learnt online so far suggests that anything other than a PC or console will be 16-235.

Just looking for clarification on this, considering all the DRX890 firmware updates.

      Re: DRX890 HDMI RGB output

Sky HD boxes output a digital YCbCr 4:4:4 format signal rather than RGB via HDMI.

      Thanks Simon.

I don't know why i always assumed it was RGB but you've just sparked an old memory of the BBC test card on my '07 LCD.

It doesn't display the sub 16 black but does display the 'super white'.
I do recall thinking that was quite odd a few years ago...
