      hd planner on-demand/deleted issue

recently ive noticed that the planner has been very slow to navigate and i had noticed some progs missing from it that were due to record but it still had the r next to them in the tv guide, tonight when i got in on the tv guide watchdog was recording well the r was next to it and the red light is on, but it isnt the planner at all (it was pre set on series) also at first i could not access the planner by pressing play the furthest it got was the page with the tabs but empty, but by pressing tv guide then green they were their and the planner was just slow, now the planner just says program info not availabe right now try again later and the same in on-demand all this started around the time on-demand installed on the box i think its to do with this pointless deleted tab, Oh and now just noticed the watchdog rec is carrying on and now wont change channels either with tv guide or up/down... any ideas?

i did a planner rebuild yesterday due to the planner being v sluggish..??

hopfully someone can help to resolve/confirm my suspicions, cheer john..

im posting this in on-demand and hd forums..

Can you report your box make and version and what version of the EPG you have?

      Re: hd planner on-demand/deleted issue

ok did a hard reset unplugged for a min or 2 and now the progs are back and on-demand ( i think that was to do with the recording overunning as it dissapeared from the planner), but the planner is still sluggish its when it changes from page to page if i try and chage it to next / previous it becomes un responsivbe for a few seconds and just after it changes ive deleted all the progs from deleted (really dont get the point of this) ill try another rebuild and see how that does, one other thing is that the hd box is cold as tho something isnt getting hot.
and watchdog which it was recording i think isnt there either..

it will not change channel still tho im stuck in the intro and the selected channel no. selected stays on the screen

these are the exact same symtoms i had when i first got this box when anytime first came out and i plugged into the router that was an error it killed 2 boxes, coincidence? now they have done 2 massive updates to the service?

Because this forum gets about 10x the traffic, so more chance of help being offered.

Maybe it is in your opinion, but both threads have identical first posts, therefore pointless.

The other thread has a link back to this one anyway, therefore you are no worse off, and people don't have to answer twice.

If you have an issue with a moderator or an admin's decision, feel free to PM - You answered my post after quoting it, therefore it was aimed at me, I therefore had the right to reply. I will leave this thread alone now, good luck with your issue.
