New box but more problems
We had a fault 29 - no signal and called out an engineer. He replaced the box and the HDMi cable. TV was ok for a few hours then picture went pixilated. Rang man who had attended - he had left a card saying we could call him back within 30 days. He came and said it was our television. We did not believe this as the tv had been fine on freeview - it had taken 8 days for engineer to call and we watch tv through aerial until then. Tv is less than two years old. He still maintained it was the aerial. We got another tv from another room and when connected to the box the picture was faulty as well. He then changed the resolution to Automatic. It seemed fine so he left. About an hour after him leaving the picture went all funny again. He seemed as though he wasn't keen to come back the first time so I am a little reluctant to ask him to call again. Is it the "new" box or the HDM1 lead. Also he put a lead from the tv to the 'phone socket which we have never had before and my broadband connectin went off. We told him this and he removed it and the broadband is ok again. He said it was not important we hasd the 'phone connection.

Re: New box but more problems
That happened to my mother. She went all funny and the neighbours called an ambulance. Turned out she had low blood sugar.
Sounds as if your Sky installer is clueless. He's just guessing. Phone Sky and ask them to send a properly qualified engineer who can diagnose the cause of your fault.
