For future EPG updates, I think it would be really nice if you could alter the colour of the screen- orange on blue is a bit boring! I guess this is not a priority for Sky though. Is it possible to force a software update now to get the EPG or will I just have to wait?
I shall pass your comments on regarding the colour scheme, although I would hope that the developers are watching this thread, but I don't work for Sky.

Early in the process a lot of us did comment about various aspect and we were informed that suitable organisations who work with impaired sight user or those who have hearing difficulties had been consulted.

With regards to forcing the update, you are welcome to try, I haven't tried myself since I have v49.21 as of this morning which will be roll out in due course.

Is anyone else finding the new look EPG to perform slower then the last one?

I have the 500GB Sky+HD box and I find that scrolling through the listings doesn't seem to be as smooth as before. Is there a way I can fix this?

A "sluggish" response has been reported on the Beta forums for this version.

The listings catchup is more related to the fact that the EPG will quickly move to the time span then pick up the listings. If you stop forwarding in the listings, the programme schedule should correct itself within about half a second.

The sluggishness is observed when rewinding or fast forwarding, pressing backup and a few other remote control functions.

I miss the animation when pressing the right arrow to move through programmes. Apart from that I quite like it.

I am purely guessing, but I suspect that Sky are doing it by serial or viewing card numbers.

It will happen though so don't panic.

Wales is around 100 miles North of Milton Keynes, straight up the M1.

I don't want it if it means less channels on screen in the EPG.

It will take longer to move through the channels looking to see if there is anything worth watching.
