Re: New Sky+ HD & SkyHD EPG v49.20 being rolled out now THE order there doing is nothing but stupid.... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3 box's in this house 2 multi room and 1 main .... 2x 890 and 1x895 ..... ...... 1 890 is main in lounge (2 feed), 2nd 890 is multi room (1 feed), and 895 is multi room (1 feed) SO FAR !! only the 890 multi room has been updated to new EPG ..... all boxes connected to internet, phone and sat ... our signal on all boxes are nearly all full and all boxes get left on standby over night ..
like ffs if your going to update things at least update all boxes in the same bloody house !!!! so its not done by customer number and its not done by card number either the lounge box is the oldest card, then the 890 multiroom and the newest card is the 895 multiroom ...
so it leads me to think its on box serial ..
being done in order that the newer ur box the sooner u get the new epg as the 890 multiroom was the last box we got then the 895 and then the main 890 .......
i know how to force update but that doesnt work just reinstalls current ..so currently think sky need to get a move on !! and put the dam thing on the stream server

There was a slight delay getting it onto the servers, but it went live at around 5pm for those who want it early. Hope you enjoy.
For those who wish to wait, the normal planned rollout for those with DRX890/895 will continue.Panasonic TX-P50G10B, Onkyo HTS 3305

ummm - My STB has just come up with the message it is going to go into standby, at 9:52pm normally doesn't do that until after midnight.

This can be really annoying, but you can disable it.
With the new EPG if you leave the STB alone for 4 hours, even during the day, it will automatically turn itself off. I though I had mentioned this in the review.
This will be most noticed by those parents who stick cbeebies on and leave the children alone to watch the TV all day.
The intention is to help us to save a little more money by using less electric.

Yep this new 4hr thing is a pain, especially when you watch a channel all day or have say the tennis on. They need an option to set the time limit!

Re: New Sky+ HD & SkyHD EPG v49.20 being rolled out now
Quite a lot of sorts enthusiasts will be inconvenienced if they aren't glued to their sets & remotes. Just pressing the up arrow or almost any other button on the remote would reset the 4 hour timer.
You can disable it, but then it would also stay on all night too.
<Services> <Down> (keep pressing down to select the 'Auto Standby')
Change it to 'Off'.
