Terrabyte Box Slower Post Software Update

Had message from my Terrabyte Box to say it had updated the other day.
I was glad to see a network settings tab and having connected the box to my router the box has an IP and is on my network.
I have noticed however that the box seems to run more slowly. I can tell by scrolling through my planner listing it used to wizz through and now it's at least half the speed. Not a big issue but it seems a shame as the terrabyte box was noticably faster compared to my old HD box, and this update seems to be having a definite effect in slowing the box's OS down.
Anyone else noticed this? Thought I might try diconnecting it from the network see if that makes any difference.

      Ditto here!
I have my 1TB box connected to my network by a Homeplug and assumed it may be this slowing it down. I have disconnected the Homeplug but the box is still the same!!

Thought as much. Seems such a shame for a simple update to cause the generally very good TB box to slow down so much.
      Boo!

Re: Terrabyte Box Slower Post Software Update

      Hi all,

my box is also running very slowly after the update. In fact, I'd go so far as to say it's almost unusable! On the planner screen I can hold my finger on down to scroll down to what I want to watch, after I let go it carries on about 3 or 4 more programs down the list (very slowly).

Are all 1TB HD boxes running slowly now? Has Sky said anything about the problem? I thought we'd put the days of really slow response from the hardware behind us. :-(

Have to say my box is doing exacly the same thing; IE it carries on for 3 or for programs down the list. Very annoying. I think I shall submit a complaint to sky.

Exactly. The problems are widespread, and on all the forums. The more people complain about this, the better.

Re: Terrabyte Box Slower Post Software Update

Have submitted complaint by email. Doubt they'll do anything soon as even if they accept that this update has caused an issue they would have to spend much time i imagine working out where the issue lies and then how to resolve it with a new update. Still it's a first step.
