Bbc hd
Hi All,
Watching the World Cup we had blocking/pixelating on BBC HD. It didn't happen on ITV HD or on native Sky channels.
It doesn't happen on non HD channels.
It is now happening whilst I am watching the Open. It is so poor my boys want to watch the non HD version!!

Re: Bbc hd
Maybe a mis-alignement of your dish. If you can find what other channels transmit on the sme frequency as BBCHD then you could check if those also pixelate.... if they do then its a dish problem.
I have BBCHD on as we speak since 11am and it's been a perfect picture.

Re: Bbc hd
The Open has had no probs today AFAIK. Go to Add Channels. Input 10847 , V, 22.0 , 5/6. Do the scan and you should see - BBC 1 East (W), BBC1 CI, BBC HD, and 6945. If you don't see these there's something up with the dish/LNB or elsewhere in the box. Which make?

Re: Bbc hd
Thank you reddwarfcrew and kenedin.
I did what kenedin suggested and then watched that channel. No pixelating.
Then shifted to BBC HD via the EPG and no pixelating.
So hopefully problem soleved.
Thanks again.

Re: Bbc hd
I saw quite a few issues with the BBC HD feed of The Open golf, mostly looking like inadequate bandwidth allocation. Shame, I like Auntie and think She should do better. I have Sky and never see any of the artefacts on the Sky Sports HD feeds of golf that I saw on the recent HD stuff from St. Andrews on the BBC.
Just my opinion...

Re: Bbc hd
It could be water in the cables. Do the cables run over the roof ? Water in a cable can affect some channels and not others. When a cable runs over a roof, in time the outer plastic gets worn away, as the cable moves in the wind, and water gets in.
