Getting a replacement HD box, will it be the 1.5tb

Hi just thought I would check if anyone else has had a replacement HD box and been given the new super HD 1.5tb box, thanks. Sky has fianally agreed to providing a new hd box after 5 months of suffering with a dodgy Amstrad HD box since install day, was offered numerous refurd boxes which i refused and I gave up phoning them after 4 engineer visits, but yesterday I emailed their complaints team and they emailed back within an hour agreeing to a new HD box which is coming on Wednesday, would have been Monday but Iam working. thanks

No, the replacements will either be the old stock new 160gb or the new new 250gb, the 1tb receivers are special edition and cost £300.

You will certainly not get a 1.5tb box, not unless Sky have already informed you of this, for compensation for the problems you have had, even so I still do not think you would get one of them, as they are £299 to buy.

I am guessing that as you are asking the question on here, then you have not been told which ox you will be getting, I would have thought it would have been one of the newer 500gb boxes, as it depends where in the country you are I guess, but I would have thought a majority of new boxes now would be the new 500gb ones(250gb for you, 250gb for Anytime), as the old stock must have been used by now.

Thanks for the replys, got the amstard drx890 500 gig, cant believe how much better it is. I cant hear a sound from the hard drive and the planner and changing channels is fast. Thanks for all the help regards gaz

Oh yeh the box is smaller as well even though the wife says its the same.
