If you got the 250gb model then it is the new 500gb one, the drive is split 50/50, 250gb for you and 250gb for anytime.

You should have received a PVR5 according to an email I had back from SKY as all installs now have the 500GB, I should get in touch with them and state you have been given a smaller HD box.

You should be within your rights as the website states you can record upto 60 hours of HD programming, this you cannot do on a PVR4 machine.

But apparently there only doing this for new customers and I was an existing. However the sales guy assured me that I would get the PVR5. Tech team said they would listen to the recording and call me back to confirm this. Although I'm not too fussed. But it would be nice to receive the latest box.

To be pedantic, he has been given a larger box, the new ones are smaller only the HDD is bigger.

I agree, I would be looking for the latest one too. It seems the installers have the say in what you get, which is not right.

This doesn't seem right that existing Sky customers are fobbed off with older technology -

As stated, my email contained facts that all installs now have 500GB not 320GB !

Any other exisiting customers upgrading to SKY HD get an older box or the newer model ???
