Vonage VOIP and Sky+ HD install...
Hi everyone...
I’m getting Sky+ HD installed tomorrow PM, but I’m a bit concerned as I only have a vongage ‘VOIP’ phone line – not a standard ‘fixed’ land line. I’ve googled about this a fair bit but i cannot find any concrete answers on it.
I currently have multiroom with Sky+ - my multiroom box dials out fine using Vonage, and I’ve not received any letters from sky asking me to connect my box(s) – so I assume the call-back is working fine.
The question is – has anyone had any success with the Sky HD boxes and call-backs over VOIP? What actually happens if the engineer cannot do a call-back because of a non-standard line? Will he just drop the install and lose me £90 odd quid?
