Yes, you'll be able to push out more speed with those figures. It seems you have internal wiring problems, so fitting a filtered faceplate and running the broadband from it would be a good shout. Keeping it in the test socket only has two real 'problems' - it's not exactly aesthetically pleasing for some people and also it cuts off all your extension sockets in the house. Other than that, you can keep it in the test socket.

You're capped at the moment, but as I say you can push out more speed. Keep in the test socket, call up sky and they'll uncap it.

I'm confused. They said they'd uncap you to 10mb but it'd take 24 hours? Then they told you you're not capped? Can you explain exactly what was said?

You should get 10mb with the stats from the test socket but if you go back to the original connection you will loose it again.

Re: Upgraded to Sky unlimited, Very Happy with results

Seems your line isn't handling being configured to 10mbps at all. Looks like the line perhaps needs capped a bit, but it's difficult to say without more information.

Where are those stats from - the test socket or another socket? If it's from another socket, then post your stats whilst in the test socket.

If it is from the test socket, then calling up sky and capping the line slightly would be best I reckon.
