Move from BT

Target date for switch to Sky- 15 Aug
Sky to send me a text confirming when Sky Broadband active.

On 15th BT Broadband was switched off. I plugged in the Sky router and, BINGO, my Mac found the connection immediately. A seamless transfer but I never did get the text message from Sky!

At least you hd your equipment ready to go, when I moved from BT to Sky a couple of years ago now not only was I not given a moving date but my router never arrived so I had to chase it up. It turned up two later as did the letter telling me what date I was going to migrate. Judging by the lack of complaints regarding the non dispatch of the routers I am guessing Sky have changed their policy now and don't wait until the migration date before sending them out.

My router was received three or four days before target activation date (which was also the actual activation date). Even the text finally arrived albeit 48 hours after activation.

I am impressed. Even my broadband speeds seem better than when with BT
