Outlook Problems New To Sky - Help!

I am new to sky and can receive and send ok from sky. I have changed my settings in Outlook as per instructions. I can receive my e-mail in outlook but I cannot send from outlook. When I go to test account settings everything seem OK eg established network connection, found outgoing smtp, found incoming pop3, so basically everthing ticks the boxes until it tries to send test e-mail - the problem says unable to send text message, please verify the e-mail address field. I have also enabled pop in my sky account. Somebody help me please!

What version of Outlook are you using? If 2002/XP you need SP3, get it from Download details: Office XP Service Pack 3 (SP3)

Thanks for replying but I dont know what version of Outlook im using. Im not very IT litererate. How do I find out version.

Version is normally in Help, about Microsoft outlook

Then you definately need to upgrade to Service Pack 3.

Hi

Still having problems downloading SP3. I have not got the original MS Office disk. When I try to download and run the update it says 'feature you are trying to use is on CD Rom' 'insert MS Office with front page disk & press OK.

Did you download the file "OfficeXpSp3-kb832671-fullfile-enu.exe" (its 57.5MB in size)?

Yes, this is the file I downloaded but it still requested original CD. Any ideas?

Strange. I'm wondering if you have a mix of Office versions on your machine. What version of front page do you have (you should be able to get it from help the same as outlook) The other possibility is to upgrade by visiting the Microsoft update site HERE.
