Speed Increase.

From 3Megs at Tiscali to 5Megs with Sky, and only a tenner a month. Never got an activation letter and came home to find my connection dead, but only a minor gripe - set up the Sky router and all is well.

Now if BT could just get their finger out and upgrade their crappy lines.

Re: Speed Increase.

I meant the copper cable network to the exchanges, BT have this 21C upgrade going on - I'm not sure if it just a way of squeezing more speed out of the old wiring or are they going with fibre optics.

I read most of us will be able to get at least 20+ meg when they are done, which would be great.

Re: Speed Increase.

If you stay with Sky you will be on Easynet (Ipsaris), which is a CN21 network. BT's upgrade will not affect you at all.
Nobody is going to come round replacing all the copper pairs, where is the profit in that?

The Easynet network was built by Marconi, developed and built in the UK.
BT CN21 will use cheap chinese kit from Huawei.
