Fingers crossed all good so far!

Hi,

Hi all just wanted to post re my sky broadband subscription.
After a few calls to sky to actually reach someone who could sign me up for a broadband and talk package, i supplied my mac code from my previous isp (keconnect-excellent service but £24.99 for 8meg).

I held my breath, a netgear router arrived a couple of days later, a couple of letters regarding activation date, passwords etc and on the 3rd October I was on!

Speed actually seems a little quicker lol

Im not sure If Im actually on sky talk or still on bt, anyone know ?

All round I'm pretty happy considering the nightmare ive had with the tv service, but thats another story!

Cheers for a great resorce

Welcome to SkyUser Badshot1uk.

Its great to hear of another great experience with Sky Broadband.

Your Sky Talk should have gone on around the date which was stated on the activation letter.
Im pretty sure they sent us one, Have a look through your letters from Sky.

If you have access to MySky and have a account on there, If you select "Manage My Sky Account", Under the "Your Current Sky Subscriptions" there should be Sky Talk, If it is there then you should be on it.

Sorry I couldnt help more.

Re: Fingers crossed all good so far!

Hi am pleased that you are happy with your sky package. When you ordered your sky package and signed up for the "see hear and surf" package you should have received shortly after a letter from sky telling you that you had indeed signed up for sky talk. You may have also received a letter from Bt expressing some kind of regret that you have another provider but confirming that the line rental was still coming from then. Did you contact Bt to minimise your Line rental in lieu of your free calls from Sky? If you did you would again have received a letter.
