No limits

Thanks Sky for allowing me to pay for a 40gig download limit yet not sending me any emails or charging me any extra for regularly exceding my quota.

Is it just me or is everyone allowed to download more than they are paying for?

Re: No limits

Theres exceding it and there's EXCEDING it..

If you don't take the mickey by downloading an exta 10 - 20GB on top on a regular basis I don't suppose they'd mind too much.

but if you're worried about it, just upgrade to Max for an extra £5 for peace of mind

I don't really see the point untill Sky object to what I am currently using.

They clearly state that they will email you to let you know you are using to much so untill I get that email, I'll just carry on as I am.

Re: No limits

It also depends on what you are doing and when you are doing it.

If you are running a slow torrent overnight, you are not really on the radar as Sky's bandwidth is at low useage, but if you are downloading a big game demo from 4pm-10pm (internet prime time) they may take more notice of any bandwith over use.

Don't forget Virgin introduced effectively rush hour limits where you got capped until midnight if you exceeded a certain bandwidth usage during the busy time, although it looked fairly generous a couple of game demos and you would have exceeded it.
