According To Sky Go My iPad is Jailbroken
I've recently had Sky +HD installed a couple of days ago and I also own an iPad2 but when I try to run Sky Go all I get is "Video unsupported, Is not supported on jailbroken devices"
Another thing that is strange is the adverts work but not the content.
Only my iPad isn't jailbroken. It was jailbroken but hasn't been since iOS 5.01.

Re: According To Sky Go My iPad is Jailbroken
Have you tried a full reset & restore via iTunes? There's obviously still traces of the jailbrake left somewhere.

Re: According To Sky Go My iPad is Jailbroken
Phil,
It's a bug in the sky go app that has been around for some time and is known about by Sky but for whatever reason has not fixed. There are many people in the same boat as you, even people that have taken new idevices brand new out of the box only to get the same message as you when they try to use Sky Go. Some people have got it to work after playing around with for a while, factory resets et al, I was lucky when it happened to me I just un-installed it and then installed again and touch wood it worked. My ipad2 has never been jail broken. By the way you'll have a better chance of help from this forum rather than the other sky help forum.

Re: According To Sky Go My iPad is Jailbroken
If you really want it working now re-jailbreak and add this repo http://n00neimp0rtant.dyndns.org/repo to Cydia and install xcon which will then allow you to play stuff from Sky Go.

I've done a full backup, reset and restore. Sky Go now works fine. I didn't even need to connect it to iTunes, I used iCloud.
Thank for all your replies.

According To Sky Go My iPad is Jailbroken
This is one thing that gripes me about sky apps.
It's up to each individual if they'd like to jail brake their devices. (with this there's a risk the device might go faulty)
But why are sky so against it? Their app is free and we pay for the subscription service from them.

Re: According To Sky Go My iPad is Jailbroken
Licensing I guess?
I suppose somebody could stream HDMI output at a later date to a TV?
Therefore negating the need for a multiroom subscription?
