hi, my activation date is the 22nd August 2007, Have already had letter with activation date(and another letter), Have also recieved my wireless router recieved 16th august, cannot log in to internet connection yet (due 22nd august).

Ummmmmmm, whats the chances if activation before the activation date??

Not sure what your question has to do with email, but there is no way your line will be done almost a week early. Sky themselves say it can take up to three days after the auctual date on your letter. You might be luck a get it done a day or two but not almost a week.

have just set up my email and wireless

and i find the settings for outllook are
email = c.me@sky.com
pop3 = mail.sky.com
smtp = smtp.sky.com
user name= c.me
password =*****
have tried the others and this one works
don't arsk me why

Hi all,

Just got onto Sky BB - but I seem to have a slight Outlook problem. Everytime I open Outlook I have to insert my password to access email. I have ticked all the "remember password" boxes in both the email accounts bit and when I manually enter the password. Any ideas? Also, when I "test account settings" it fails to connect - even though I can send and receive emails...

I didn't even know there was a Windows Mail on Vista.

Just had a look anyway and it looks the same as Outlook Express.

I cheked this to make sure I had mine correct and yes it is. I send emails but they dont reach the destination and I dont recieve any emails on it ether but I dont get any errors or anything.

I have just set up Thunderbird with the new google mail settings. These are as follows for anyone interested and work perfectly:

Typically enough, Sky have messed it up.

Received 100 (literally) emails this morning in outlook saying we've been transferred. Then, when I click "Inbox" on the "Tools" tab on Sky.com it tells me I haven't been migrated yet.

The upshot is there is no way I can check my email, either on the web or in Outlook. And Sky broadband technical support has a 20 minute wait time. Obviously the thought of laying extra people on to cope with possible demand never occurred to them.
