Don't know if this is related but about three weeks ago I started getting errors when fetching mail from Sky's pop3 server.
Changed to the legacy server to prevent the SSL error and all appears ok except it now downloads multiple copies of any emails left on the server whereas before it would just inform me that I had already seen the message in question.Server CommonName mismatch: legacy.pop.mail.yahoo.com != pop.tools.sky.com

That is about the same time that POP downloads stopped marking the emails as "read" on the Sky/Yahoo web page.
