Address not verified - problems sendng mail from sky server

I am trying to send emails via sky server from my new laptop via outlook 2010 on windows 10

I have sorted the pop3 out on my own private email but am having problems sending/smtp

I have made a ...@sky.com email address and have that in the outgoing field with password etc

I also have smtp.tools.sky.com in the outgoing server field along with port 465/SSL

The message I am getting on testing/setting up is the following-

Send test e-mail message: Cannot send the message. Verify the e-mail address in your account properties. The server responded: 553 From address not verified - see http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...ndfrom-07.html

Problem is I cannot find anywhere to allow sky.com email to verify my private email

      Any help/links would be welcome?

      Cheers

You need to login to your Sky yahoo mail and go to settings (Cog in top RH corner), Writing email, Add send-only address, and then verify it.

Under Outgoing Server you will find the option ‘My Outgoing Server (SMTP) requires Authentication’ and ‘Use same settings as my incoming server’, make sure that both the options are selected.

Belated thanks for the info - worked a treat :-)

I did have a further problem caused by Windows 10 and MS office stopping SMTP actions but managed to sort that too

      Cheers
