Hi G3WYP, yeh I know which add you are meaning and this gets rid of it. The viewing pain appears on the right hand side, the email section becomes smaller and the add at the top dissapears.

      Afternoon Hedgehog1979

Many thanks, just tried this fix and it seems to work.

Will have to see what happens from now on.

Glad it worked, unless there is another change to the page it should stay like that.

Yes that works for me too.
However I don't like that view so will stick with my policy of ignoring adverts that don't interest me.

      Re: Adverts in Sky/Yahoo Mail

      See in the sky community forum there is a post from a community manager, not sure if that person is an official sky person or not, but it says;

      Advert on Yahoo! Mail
Recently a new advert has been placed at the top of your inbox.
      This isn't a spam email.
You'll only be taken to the advert page if you click on the message box.
It is not possible to close this advert. This change will not affect how you open emails.
Do not use this sky yahoo mail myself, but does not sound a very helpful post. Just put up with it or something!

      Re: Adverts in Sky/Yahoo Mail

I don't know what browsers you guys use but I use Firefox and can quite easily block it by using Adblock Plus, infact until I disabled it after seeing this thread I didn't know that Yahoo had stuck this advert in.

Both messages were adverts, one for a funeral policy and the other for a dating agency, neither of which we need, my wife tells me we are happily married!!!

Can any of you very technical people help me in finding a way to get rid/stop these emails.

Instal adblock plus and all your adverts go away its free and takes seconds to install. No more funerals or dating adds at the top of your emails.

What annoys me about this is I am paying Sky a handsome sum every month, of which Email is included.

This not a a free email service from Google, Hotmail, Yahoo direct etc., so the ads should not show at all for Sky customers.

Unfortunately it is free, there is no charge for Sky email. But like all things free, it has to be paid for somewhere, a couple of adverts which can quite easily be blocked is a small price to pay for the service. Alternately, use a client like Thunderbird and you will never see the adverts, they will not be downloaded to the client.
