May switch to sky broadband - questions over SMTP compatability.

So I have TV through Sky currently, and I see the offer of taking up Sports and Movies and getting broadband for free. However this is my issue:-

I have my own domain, and so all my email is managed by my domain. My domain provider provides me with a pop3 server address which is specific to my domain.

My SMTP server address is provided by my current broadband provider. Currently I send and receive emails with no issue.

I pop around to my neighbours to check compatability. I connect to his sky wifi and change the SMTP server address to the sky addres:

      smtp.tools.sky.com, Port: 465

And guess what, I can not send email. A quick search and I see similar forum issues, but nothing concrete.

So my question is, is there a set of settings I can use to continue using my existing domain set up. If not, I can not move across to sky broadband....

      thanks

You have to set it up on the Webmail page, basically, Settings > Accounts > Add account to send email from another provider.
