      SMTP Server problem

      I have a Skyuser smpt account. Been working fine until today. Can receive, but getting an error when trying to send . Have the setting changed ?

      It should be fixed now. SatDish has been in to kick the server.

      No working yet I'm afraid. Outgoing is set to Port 25 with SSL ticked, is that correct ? Just wonder if I have changed a setting when playing about with the settings yesterday ?
      I see there a thread running today with others having issues too, so I'll give it a while and try later.

      I have been experiencing the same problem over the past couple of days. Some times is sends and some times not. Please can you confirm if the problem has indeed been fixed?

      Same problem here, unable to send e-mails since last week!

      Am using smtp.tools.sky.com using server port 465 and SSL on.
      Has worked fine for months but stopped working last week.

      Help!! :-(

      Ok, it looks like there were two different SMTP issues at the same time which confused me - Sorry.

      The SkyUser SMTP Server had a problem, which is now resolved. ( Problem sending emails (SMTP) using skyuser server )

      Sky's SMTP appears to be fine. I can only sugest that you double check the settings first.

      It is a pain, but Sky beefed up their security to reduce some of the issues of emails being sent other than by the account holder. If I had used the language I wanted to when I had a problem, as it also messed up my Yahoo! accounts, I would have been banned from the Sky forums.

      So what needs to be done?

      You have checked the outgoing port and SSL setting, along with the SMTP server. What you have posted above is correct.

      Have you checked the settings for the outgoing mail server? This now requires Authentification. I have set mine to use my email account & password typed in and have not selected "Use same settings as incoming server".

      Still no joy. I see Redlester referred to the smtp.tool.sky.com server, but it's the "skyuser" smtp account I'm having issues with. The "tools" server is working fine.
      This is the error I am getting,

      Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems or a long period of inactivity.

      Subject 'test smtp'
      Server: 'mail.skyusermail.com'

      Protocol: SMTP
      Port: 465
