      Non-Sky Domain Email accounts - from: field changed

      Hi,
      I have been using an orange.net email account for years across several PCs,Macs and mobile devices.
      Now I am using Sky broadband I cannot connect to the smtp server at orange.net.
      If I use the sky smtp server they change the from field to my sky email address.

      I think this is a little sneaky.

      Anyone know a way around, or am I going to have to pay to use someones smtp relay?

      I think this is a little sneaky.
      Why, you are using Sky to connect? It would be the same if the positions were reversed. Are you sure Orange are going to continue to allow you to use your account if you have left them? Many ISPs only allow 2-3 months then close the account.

      Sky is basically webmail, so the account is for life.
