Sky Email and Outlook 2007

Hi, I have used those settings shown over and over again and sky email only forwards once. As soon as I log out of sky webmail, I get nothing forwarded to outlook 2007 until I log back into sky and do the pop enabling again.

Help...

Its driving me mad!!!

Check that Disable IMAP is selected after you select PoP.

Alternately try using IMAP instead of POP.

Sky, or any pop server doesn't forward mail. It makes it available for download by your client, and yes it only makes it available once.

Can you explain better what you are trying to do. If you are trying to download to more than one PC/device then there are ways to achieve that.

I had to mess about with settings for a while before I got it to work. This is what I did.

1) Logged in via web portal (found I was on google based mail). Went into mail settings then Forwarding and Pop and enabled pop for all mail.

2)Configured outlook 2007 as follows
Pop3 = pop.tools.sky.com
smtp = smtp.tools.sky.com
Username = full email addy including @sky.com
Ticked require logon using Secure Password Auth (SPA)
Click More settings
In the outgoing server tab click my outgoing (smtp) server requires auth
select logon using and put in your full email addy including @sky.com and password tick requires Secure Password Auth (SPA)
In the Advanced tab click this server requires and encrypted connection (ssl)
and this should change the pop3 port to 995
Outgoing Server change port to 465 and the drop down for Use the following type of encrypted connection select SSL.

Doing all of that has got mine running spot on. Hope it helps
