Sky Email and Outlook 2007

Can anyone please help Sky, Outlook Express
The Problem

I cannot get Enable Pop to work it says preferences have been saved but when i go into it again it hasn,t? i have tried numerous times but no success.
I phoned Sky and they said they could not help as they have never had this problem reported before, surely it cant just be me?
Any advice would be appreciated:

Once you save it, the radio dot won't stay next to Enable - the thing to check is whether it says the Status is Enabled...if it does you're good to go...if not, then something's up Google's end...

i just know this is going to be a daft question but please don't laugh too loudly. If i set up sky email for outlook will it still be available via the web?

Yes, Sky online mail (provided by Google/Gmail) will keep a backup copy of all your mail or you can use it to send and read your mail.
