DLM - Again in 1 month - 648k!?

I've had Sky broadband for several years - happily getting 4-5Mb (I live in the countryside and check speeds regularly). Begining of May this year DLM was done and set my limit to 1.2Mb! I phoned up and a very helpful girl immediately set my limit back to 7Mb (her test said that was the max). I was happy.
But now DLM is on again 3 weeks later and speed is at 648K (according to broadbandspeedchecker). DLM not yet finished, but is such a low setting normal during DLM? And is DLM always this often - I don't want to have to call Sky every 3 weeks for 1 hour.... ?

Thanks for the quick reply
At work now - I'll post stats tonight (I was away on hols when DLM started 7 days ago, router left on though). I just did a quick website speedtest when it was really slow on getting home, 648K for 24 hrs now - and then logging into MySky at work said DLM underway again.

Stats here - note, noise margin now 15dB or so now plugged into master - it was 4.6dB this morning in an extension socket - maybe why DLM was set so low?

Your noise margin still looks a bit low. If you have a test socket plug your router there and see if the noise margin improves (Reboot router too). Either way you will have to ring Sky and ask them to uncap you.



As you can see your internal wiring is causing problems so keep your router at your master socket. If your stats improve further in the test socket then consider getting a filtered faceplate.

Thanks - noise margin worse again now and seems to be stable around 8dB, even in master socket and rebooted.
