Re: New House, New Broadband, Terrible Speeds :(

As I said previously, ADSL2+ is not working on your line. Call Sky and ask them to configure your line as DLM has not done it properly. If and when you get through to CST they will swap your line to G.DMT and you should see 3+Mb. Getting past Tier 1 is the most difficult part. Make sure you are plugged into your Test socket or Master socket if you don't have one and change the filter as you will be asked to do this and it will save time if you can say you have done it.

Re: New House, New Broadband, Terrible Speeds :(

In my house we have 3 phone sockets. As this is a building with 4 flats, we have one main socket that is located by the front door which is abit hard to use, so I use the one in the bedroom. Do I need to plug it in to the one by the door? Filters are already in place.

So the advice is to call up Sky customer service and tell them my line isnt configured correctly and I need to be changed from ADSL 2 to G.DMT? (Whatever that is?)

Is it possible to email Sky with the query, would that help with the response then I could copy and paste here for the correct advice

Don't even bother mentioning modes to Tier 1, they will not know what you are talking about. Just ask to have your line reconfigured as DLM has made a mess of it. CST, when you get them, will do it in minutes. Try the KANA form if you like but it is liely to take quite a few days.

Re: New House, New Broadband, Terrible Speeds :(

The KANA forms are not working at the moment, keep getting a message to try later.

Will give them a ring Tomorrow. I guess I just ask them to reconfigure the line then, does anyone have the correct phone number for them?

Re: New House, New Broadband, Terrible Speeds :(

The figures from your Test socket show that your internal wiring is causing noise problems on your line. You would benefit from fitting and using one of these XTE-2005 Filtered Master Faceplate - ADSL Nation

If you are in a position to leave the router in the Test socket until you get one, phone Sky and ask them to configure your line as DLM has not worked on it. A blindfolded meercat would be able to see your line is severely capped so you should have no difficulty getting it fixed.
