I ALREADY POSTED THIS THREAD SOMEWHERE ELSE BUT IT WAS IN THE WRONG PLACE SO I COPYING IT HERE.

i got sky base and i never went over the 2gb allowance and i normally download around 25kbps and my max is 28.6kbps the fastest i ever downloaded at but the glorious moment went and it went around 23kbps again.
if my speed can reach 2mb how come it never ever went over 56kpbs and also ive been a cumtomer for 2 years now with base.
is there a way i can get the speed up to 2mb or atleast 100 kbps becasue im fed up slow connection!

Plug into the test socket behind the faceplate of your master, and try again.

Have you checked your physical setup? If you are on the main or test socet with filter (no extension leads etc in play) and do not suffer line noise etc you should get your speed.

you don't need a test socket or anything - the line is quite blatantly capped...

call Sky and they can sort it out...

Yes, call Sky, you don't need to check anything, you will get 2Mb quite easily, in fact you could get 8Mb if you wanted it.

I don't know why you have put up with it for so long, but it does reinforce my belief that there are probably thousands in your position and don't know about this forum, so put up with it.

Did you call sky? How many sockets are on your telephone line and how many are in use?
