Sky & DLMThis is a discussion on, Is DLM sky's way to cap people ?? within the Sky Broadband help and support forum; Are, you can't change the anology. The pumps would be the back haul , The Dslam/local loop is the glass....
You are quite right Richone, and to answer the question, no, DLM is not Sky's way to cap people.
By cap I mean reduce your sync for the hell of it, or as a means of traffic shapping. DLM may reduce your sync as a means of inproving/reduceing errors.
My line syncs at 16meg, rock solid no dropouts for weeks, but checking with a differant router and DMT tool, shows a lot of errors, so I expect my speed to drop to improve this.
As the DLM process has been ongoing longer on your line than what it should be I have now passed this issue onto our Customer Solutions Team to be looked into further.
Well I have lost 9mb and I know Be/O2 can provide me with 21mb as I was with them before. My mac is on the way
Are you going through o2? My friend (because he tops up £10/mo on his movile) gets 18/1.5 for £10/mo (same as Sky) so if I keep losing speed I know where to go!
