Re: Is DLM sky's way to cap people ??

Ok an update on DLM, been on it for 19 days been capped at 2048kbps. Spoke to a lovely lady at support who said she would email me regarding when DLM would finish. She said if i was not happy after that than they would reset my speed back to 5300kbps. She also said letters had gone out to customers about this. So all we can do is wait untill the DLM on the line has finished

Hey Hoy

19 days on DLM and counting

do u no when u started expercing the problem. remeber u are to keep your router turned on which should speed up the process.if u are still having problems if u call sky your CST team will take a look at your line and increase your speed again....

i no what you mean theres alot of us in sky that are wanting letters sent out to customers to let them no....

let me no if u get it sorted.......

Re: Is DLM sky's way to cap people ??

Yeah I have received no letter informing me that my line would be killed and for that matter no support whatsoever from the technical helpdesk.

I reported my fault 4 days ago after experiencing the problem for over a week and was not even informed about the DLM testing being carried out the guy just run through a basic script and said he couldn't do anything further for me. He said that he would escalate my call and would receive a call back within 24 hours.

When I didn't receive the call back after the 24 hour period I phoned back myself only to be told that I was misinformed and it would actually be 72 hours before I had a call back. The 72 hour period has since elapsed and still no call , so I decided to call again this evening only to be told that the systems were down and I would have to phone back later. Because of the fact that I have already spent over £10 in calls to the helpdesk I requested that the helpdesk operator take my mobile number and arrange for me to receive a call back. I was told that he didn't have the facilities to do this! What he had no pen and paper to take my number? After asking again he reluctantly took my mobile number but to be honest I am not expecting a call back.

If they had sent a letter informing me that my line would be reduced to a very unstable 256kbps and not to disconnect my router (as this is very important apparently) or even informed me at the time of reporting the fault I would not have had to waste money on calls to them or wouldn't have turned off my router as any person may try if the router wasn't working as it should.

Re: Is DLM sky's way to cap people ??

Day 15 of DLM here..

Can someone who works at sky tell me maybe why the DLM process has had my line below or at 512kbps for over a week now.. Technically I mean... Shouldn't it be testing going up the way speedwise no???

My connection is totally unusable at the moment and I have three machines needing windows updates applied here.. Just not happening..

Speedtest is with nothing else going on of course...

I think the main problem is that i only knew about keeping my router on about a week ago. Sky did say that my line will be reset if i need back to my normal speed. So the question I ask is whats the point in DLM if sky is going to reset the connection ????

im happy to give it another week
