Thumbs down It SHOULD be easy to migrate to Sky, shouldn't it?

I have a highspeed broadband connection with Be Unlimited. But the lure of a lowspeed conection and Sky+ and Sky talk for the same price per month has swayed me in these thrifty times.
But Be has placed a "Cease Order" on my line, which means that I have to let my connection with Be die, then ask Sky for a new connection after waiting 7 to 10 days.
I cannot use a MAC key and smoothly migrate as per normal with a cease order.
So if you are migrating, make doubly sure that your ISP understands fully what you want to do.
I still haven't worked out where I went wrong, or even if I did say the wrong thing.

When you phone an Isp NEVER say cancel in respect of your service. To an ISP cancel means just that!! it does not mean move to another ISP using a MAC.

Couldn't agree more with that statement. Funnily enough with Be you have to ring the cancellation line to get your MAC key..??
I did say I was migrating to Sky and wanted a MAC, but.....???

I assume that you are going on to Sky LLU (base, mid or max)? for gods sake don't take Connect, you would really suffer after Be Do be aware that once you sell your soul to Sky by paying your line rental to them, a move to another ISP could be a problem.

Yep, Sky LLU mid. And no, rental stays with BT thanks.
Should be interesting to see what I get. But I don't need the upload speed now and the download is not required as much as it was.
