Great guide FibreOptic, I usually use spysweeper and ccleaner for spyware, mcafee for virus scan but i needed something to sort out my registry. So I downloaded Tuneup Utilities, and it works great. Ran the registry checker and it found 1036 errors!!

Also used it to optimize my internet connection and overall computer performance. Great work, much appreciated.

Also usually at this time of day when running a speedtest (http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/) I would struggle to reach 1.5MB, anything between that and 0.5MB, but ran it tonight after cleaning up my laptop all day and got the following result :

Download Speed: 4427 kbps (553.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 371 kbps (46.4 KB/sec transfer rate)

Last edited by gurvy; 14-10-06 at 10:09 PM.. Reason: forgot to add speedtest

great guide, I think we should make a tutorial forum seems as you are on a roll :-)

I have had to resize the images and have hosted them on our server as the blowout was bad on 1024 resolution Well done, I have done both of them so far

well done m8 i use tune up all the time it improved my connection no end but i put it up against pc pitstop optimizer and it wiped the floor with tune ups internt optimizer

it didnt find as many registry errors as tuneup but the pc pitstop optimize optimizes both firefox and explorer and both have speeded up when im browsing and knocked 10 secs off windows starting up all in all tune ups ok for safe registry cleaning with one click maintenace but pc pitstop opt get my vote for a better speed improvment for the pc
