Ah,

Yes. If you look on page 9 of the guide youll see that we need to change the ports for both outgoinging and incoming.
Incoming wants 993 and outgoing wants 465.

Got the ports sorted out properly.... But when i try to connect i get error code 25 ?????????????????

I cant say I know what error 25 is to be honest. Does it happen when you try to connect when getting your emails? Or when you try to send?

Want to send me your MSN addy ? I can add you and then when your on, and im on we can go through everything step by step in real time.

I'm brand new to the forum. I note you've been instrumental in helping folk to set up email on their iPods. I think I've got my skymail, googlemail and hotmail accounts set up. I get no errors when I check for mail. I have successfully sent email from one account to another using the iPod and seen the results on it.

I don't however, seem to be able to see email from a third party as when I check, the device seems to be checking (the rotating clock=face thingy at the top of the screen) and then I get told "Updated + date and time" but see no emails even though I see them on my laptop. Something I'm doing wrong....?

I am just trying to replicate the issue first of all. But if you could include as much detail of your setup as possible that would be handy. EG have you got rules on your mailbox to sort emails into folders etc. The domain (EG hotmail.com) that the email came from and so on.

Thank you so much for the clear instruction on how to set up sky on iphone.
But what seems to be days spending on the phone to sky and o2 i am about ready to throw the phone across the room, I still have problems as it comes up with messages saying :

The connection to the server "imap.tools.sky.com" failed

and then when I press OK

The user name or password for "SMTP:MRSDB@sky.com@smtp.tools.sky.com" is incorrect.

I had the idea to add my husbands address into the phone instead to see what messages would come up then and to my surprise within seconds I had set up his account without changing the imap address and using as you had advised to do so.

Is it because I am not the primairly account holder???
Please can you help
