VPN walkthrough using Nortel VPN client on Netgear Router

For anyone trying to get VPN working using Nortels Contivity VPN Client through the first generation Sky Netgear router here is a step by step walkthrough:



1 Get IP Address from PC Details – write it down.

2 Login to Router : http://192.168.0.1

3 Username : admin

4 Password : Sky

5 Goto Maintenance Menu Item -> View Attached Devices

6 Note MAC Address & Name for IP address from Step 1

7 Goto Advanced Menu Item -> Lan IP Setup

8 Click Add

9 In the IP Address put in IP from Step 1

10 Put in Mac and name

11 Click Add

12 Goto Firewall Rules

13 Click Add on Inbound Services

14 Pull the Drop down for Services, highlight VPN-IPSEC

15 Change Action to : ALLOW Always

16 Change Send to Lan Server : IP Address from Step 1

17 Change Wan Users : Any

18 Change Log : Always

19 Click Apply

20 Reboot Laptop

Question Re: VPN walkthrough using Nortel VPN client on Netgear Router

Can you please help. I have the same problem but with a Sky Sagem router. Will these instructions work for that as well or should I be doing something different?
