Alsager and Kidsgrove exchanges

Update 21/01/09:

Users are now reporting that these exchanges are back to normal. Therefore we have now closed this thread. Any further issues, please report on the forums and we can reopen if necessary.

There is a long running thread here about the above exchanges and users reporting issues:

Sky speed problems

If you are on the above exchanges please read the above thread for latest news etc

It would appear that Sky / Easynet are aware and in the process of rectifying.

Try running a speedtest from:

Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test

and

BT Openworld

....and all will become clear

re: Alsager and Kidsgrove exchanges

NewsreaDer - It appears it is only the ALSAGER/KIDSGROVE exchanges.

Both Goldenhill and Willaston are fine.

Re: Alsager and Kidsgrove exchanges

Just had a call from Sky explaining that the engineers couldn't resolve the issue last night and would be continuing their quest to find a solution this evening.

Re: Alsager and Kidsgrove exchanges

If it's the same situation as last night they will be running those tests over night so I wouldn't expect any drastic changes before morning.

Re: Alsager and Kidsgrove exchanges

Let's not everyone get so worked up.

Remember they said it could take upto 14 days to fix the problem.

Re: Alsager and Kidsgrove exchanges

With Sky and BT working on the problem, I wouldn't even get your hopes up of 14 days. Although as you know, two negatives make a positive.
