    capped speed ?

      Post capped speed ?

      Hi hope someone can help.
      I've just set up my sky broadband max today and have looked at the router and its set as 8mbit, i'm 750 meters from my exchange and am sure I can get more speed than this, my stats are below have sky capped it for some reason ?

      Yes - your speed has been capped and you've been placed on G.DMT. Sky usually do this when they find errors on the line. Unfortunately however, its not possible to say whether your line is currently generating errors as the stats you posted only cover a couple of minutes.

      Uncapped and on ADSL2+ with a relatively noise free line, your attenuation would easily allow a connection of ~16000kbps.
