      Where are the routers?

I was migrated from PIPEX yesterday but SKY say I will get my router on 11/9/06 (fat chance on a Sunday). They say many people are in the same situation. How many other people are awaiting router?

Having just asked for my MAC code from F2S, this issue is beginning to worry me. How many of us are going to be stranded because Sky insist on us using their router, but they can't get them out in time?

If I don't use my MAC, does it just expire?

well my line is supposed to be activated today and i don't have my router either.
just spoken to sky(again!!!) and have now had someone admit that there has been a **** up with skys system and that a lot of the orders for routers did not go through to their supplier unipart who in turn actually send the routers out.
sky supposedly are in process of compiling list of people who haven't received router and sending this to unipart to get the routers sent out but this could take a couple of days.
i said this isn't good enough as i have been in constant contact with sky regarding status of order and the router and now they tell me there is a problem. guy advised if i wanted to complain to call back to customer services.
have now called customer services and complained and someone there is going to personally check everything out and has promised to personally call me back at work.

i wouldn't have been too bothered if i only called sky today and found out there had been a problem with the router but what bothers me is i have been calling sky constantly to get updates and have been told something different every time and the last straw now is that a girl palmed me off yesterday regarding the router telling me to call back today if i still hadn't received it.
with sky admitting today that they have had problems with the routers this ****** me off as she must have known yesterday that there was a problem with the routers being sent out and just fobbed me off anyway.

i guess it will be a few days before the router arrives and no doubt i will miss the delivery and then have to track down the couriers depot to get hold of the router. can see me being without bb service until next week at this rate.

Likewise no router, 7th activation date, have rang Sky CS twice, each time a promised phone call has not been forthcoming.

I gave them to Wednesday to sort it, or I would cancel everything I have with sky,
To-day I took 1st step, and logged on to my Bank, and cancelled the Sky Direct Debit, so now they have to invoice me, so payment control is now in my hands, Sky now have 30 hours left to come up with a solution, before I cancel,
And legal proceedings if I am left without a broadband service...

      Add me to the list.
Should be activated tommorrow 6th september but no sign of a router.
I have had the same run around with different stories and no return
      phone call.
Funny how some orders seem to go through without a hitch but others
      hit a brick wall!

Sorry to all that have not received their routers, seems like a big mess between sky and the supplier, hope its all resolved soon for you all.

Ring and complain and as for a credit to cover the lost line rental.

I think I'm one of the lucky ones as my router arrived today.
Two letters with login/pass and activation date (11/09) arrived yesterday (4th)
      I ordered last Thursday 31/08/06.
So things are going very smoothly for me, so far.

Fingers crossed that I get activated before the given date, I've been without broadband for two weeks now thanks to my last provider 'euro1net' who had the plug pulled by BTW for non payment of bills.
