Signed up to Sky on the 11th (of August)
Pipex broadband stopped working on 23rd - presume Sky turned on the same day.
Despite calling them nearly every day since I still don't have a router.
Advised Customer Services 08705 515 515 OPTION 6 that I wished to make a formal complaint about their service today.
Have just completed writing my formal letter of complaint and will be sending it by courier to arrive at their West Lothian offices Thursday - bet my letter doesn't get lost in the post!
Been reasonable and asked to get the router to me by 15th (September) or cancel my contract. Will have to wait and see if Sky are able to actually deliver some proper customer service for a change.

Have to say i am DELIGHTED with skys service so far (not activated yet)

I have been on bt bband for years, contracted ended in april and i heard sky was coming out. I contacted bt and they offered me loads to stay and a reduction to 18 pounds a month.

Then they tried to renage on stuff such as 2 free dect phones, 8mbps, free caller display etc etc so i subscribed to sky and told bt to get lost as they had had 30 quid a month for years in exchange for a poor service..

In 4 days since joining sky ive had 3 letters, confirming log in details and service activation (on 12th) the router was said to be on way immediately on friday and arrived today by courier at 6pm.

Another letter has come saying BT have confirmed sky will have the line by the 12th (maybe before) and to feel fry to try the service before to see if its up.

All in all a great start from sky both in speed in customer service and things going perfectly smooth.

Mine was delevered through parceline, others have stated that theirs came by citilink. I think it depends on where they are delivering to.

So it is! The date they gave me was actually 10/9/06, my memory is probably being affected by "broadband deprevation".

Glad to see some people are actually getting their hardware!
