      Limited speed at exchange

Even if the Exchange has LLU equipment in it does this mean that there may be a restriction on the speed that the end user will get

My line attenuation is 14db and when i check on the dsl zone site it says that my exchange is enabled upto 8mbs and that i should receive 6.5 mb or above

The distance from my property to the exchange i am 400 m.

so does the exchange have to have adsl+2 enablement to get the 16mb speed ?

To check if your exchange has Sky LLU go to http://www.dslzoneuk.net/exch_loc.php enter your exchange and if it says Sky LLU you should get a speed upto 16mb as your atten is very good, indicating your just over 1km in line length from the exchange

I can't imagine you will have any problems getting 16mb if you go for MAX. The only problem that may occur is with your internal phone extension wiring. And yes speeds over 8mb are currently only possible with LLU/ADSL2+ technology

The 8mb it mentions is for ADSL1, the website at the moment doesn't give much information to users who have LLU (ADSL2+)
