      connection help

      Hi all

      migrating from plusnet to sky

      Activation date stated on the letter 06-03-2007

      Approx 7:00p.m on the 6th my existing netgear router showed i had lost my connection. ( sync light not highlighted)

      Therefore plugged in my new sky router and still had no connection,(sync light not highlighted) phoned sky at approx 8:30 and they informed me it may take a couple of days ????

      sky test revealed100 code ( no internet connection)

      also checked 7:00 on the 7th and still no connection ??

      Are sky telling me the correct information ?? and should i just wait ??

      Should the migration from plusnet to sky be seamless.

      In an ideal world it would be seamless. I would give it another day because if you ring sky they will just tell you that you have to allow an extra 3 days from the connection date you were given. It could be up anytime. If it's not by tomorrow, give them a ring.

      I am also migrating from Plusnet and was assured it would take between 30mins and 2 hours as stated on the Sky BB website. I am joining Connect, so this should be the case, if it is not, using a MAC would seem to be pointless! I can see how it may take longer when moving to Max, but several days?

      Unfortunately, judging by previous posts from people in a similar situation, sky seem to be unwilling to look in to it further until the 3 working days are up.

      Hi all

      My three days will be up on Friday, i did phone wednesday and tech support told me a problem was highlighted at my exchange and engineers are trying to resolve the problem.

      Phoned again Thursady, sky router connected to master sockey on sky request , still no connection, tier 3 ticket is now active (up to 3 to 5 days for sky to phone me back) waited for 45minutes on the phone to try and get through,

      Thursday evening recieved a text message from sky saying my connection is active, checked and still no connection ????

      After reading some of the other threads my confidence with sky is low.
