Connect is available in your area right now for just 5 per month

I have just read this over at TB forums can anyone explain the price?

He is under the impression his exchange has been unbundled.

I rang up Sky CS, Mid is the most i can get. I guess it was only unbundled for standard ADSL and not ADSL2

Fast download speeds and a massive usage allowance can now be yours with Sky Broadband Connect. Normally it would cost you 17 per month. But Connect is available in your area right now for just 5 per month – plus a one-off broadband activation fee of 20.

Is this a new price yet to be made public?

      Mystery solved.

Sky sales have told me that the 5 offer is for Sky TV Subscribers who's exchanges are due to be unbundled in the near future, they are sending letters to the customers to let them know.

This is probably common knowledge but its the first Ive heard of it.

Yes the offer has been out there for a while, as you rightly say it is only available to customers whose exchange is due to be unbundled within 6 months I believe

This has been around a while now, all should be explained on the Sky site when you stick your phone number in.

That doesn't matter. If your exchange is due to be unbundled within the next 6 months then you should be able to get the 5 Connect product.

The rep on the phone said i had to be a Sky TV subscriber otherwise they would not be able to send me the letter , has he got it wrong?
I tried the exchange check thing on the website and it said i could have connect @ 17 + 40 to set up

Fast download speeds of up to 8Mb* and a massive usage allowance of 40 GB can now be yours with Sky Broadband Connect. It's available in your area right now for 17 per month – plus a one-off broadband activation fee of just 40.

You do have to subscribe to Sky TV to get the offer, infact you have to have Sky TV to get any of the broadband products that Sky offer.

I guess I'm going to have to wait until my exchange is unbundled then sign up for the full package.
Probably worth the wait , they may be giving the + box away free by then

In that case it looks like your exchange is not going to be unbundled for over six months and certainley not the three you said earlier. If I stick my details in the Sky checker I get this:

Fast download speeds and a massive usage allowance can now be yours with Sky Broadband Connect. Normally it would cost you 17 per month. But Connect is available in your area right now for just 5 per month plus a one-off broadband activation fee of 20.
Which should mean that my exchange is done within the next 6 months.
