      Download speed capping ?

I am due to go active with Sky BB I'm having my line activated by BT Friday after chatting to someone at BT they said I should expect at least a 6mb connection speed based on my post code and how far I am from the exchange (1.35km )
I don't know anything about line noise or any other techy issues involving my line ,but am signing up to the max package has anyone got any idea at what speed I might be capped at if at all or will I be allowed the maximum available to me.

      Thanks for any help

You would need to know your current line attenuation figure and pop it into DSL ZoneUK - How fast can I get on ADSL2+?
