      No Internet Connectivity

      Hi all,

      i seem to be having my first problem in 6 or so months with sky broadband. i am on the ful package but can only connectat 3 mb or so... this is another issue i am prepaired to accept due to line limitations etc etc

      anyway in the last few days i have noticed my connecting dropping and it is now at the point where is does not work. i am still able to connect to the wireless network but simply cannot transfer data, cannot load webpages and cannot ping addresses.

      i have tried rebooting the router and my pc is not the problem as i cannot to another alternate wireless network....

      details from router as follows

      ADSL Port
      MAC Address 00:18:4D:41:17:47
      IP Address ---
      Network Type PPPoA
      IP Subnet Mask ---
      Gateway IP Address ---
      Domain Name Server ---



      Modem
      ADSL Firmware Version A2pB018e.d16f
      Modem Status Connected
      DownStream Connection Speed 3872 kbps
      UpStream Connection Speed 768 kbps
      VPI 0
      VCI 38


      i do have a green/flashing internet light on the router

      any suggestions welcome !!!

      run sky test on the router status page on the router settings, if comes up error code 100, 200 or 300 u need call tech support, would imagine as not assigning u an ip address its gonna be error code 300 prob.

      you were correct, i am getting error code 300, does this mean i am not being assigned an ip address and if so what could be the possible reasons for this?
