Your existing modem / router hardware will no longer be able to connect to the Internet. Your still get an ADSL sync light, but possibly a red light on your Internet connection (if you have that light on your router/modem).

Would advise that you swap your existing router/modem, later this evening and wire in your new Netgear Router. Therefore tomorrow morning, your new Sky router - should (in an ideal world) startup.

If your joining Base, Mid, Max - your upload will go to 700k. If your on Sky Connect, it will not change.
