Sky Connect for 5 per month! BE WARNED

Well I was connected on the 21st February 2007 after placing my order on the 10th Feb 2007 as I was told I could have sky's connect package for 5 per month because my exchange was due to be upgraded with sky's equipment in may and at that time I would automatically go over to their mid package. All went well or so it would have seemed!

I just called sky to add the movie package to my current subscription as I previously had just the four mix at 18 per month. Adding this I was told would bring my monthly subscription up to 36 per month plus the Broadband fee of 17.00p

17.00 a month??? I nearly choked to death on my beer!

I tried to explain I was told I get it for 5 and explained about my exchange being upgraded but he was having non of it so he eventually transferred me to broadband sales as he said they were the only one's who could add the discount. The bloke in sales denied it even after I told him to enter my number in to their broadband checker at sky.com/broadband as proof!

He then said he needs to speak to his supervisor, he comes back on the phone 10 minutes later saying they had entered my number in to their checker and that I was supposed to get it at 5 per month!!! WTF is he deaf I had been telling him that for nearly 15 minutes!!!!

He then told me to contact customer services, I explained that they were the one's who transferred me to sales as only they could make the change. He then said we have made the changes and from next month you will pay 5 per month!

I hope so or I'm going to be well cheesed with them if they charge me 17.00p a month for it!

So had I not called to upgrade my TV package I would be none the wiser. SO BE WARNED... If you have just been activated on their connect package offered at 5 a month call them to confirm it!

Re: Sky Connect for 5 per month! BE WARNED

Thanks for the heads up but I believe I am OK as I have had 1 12.39 discount on my total package this month which I am puuting down to changing over to the 5 Connect product.

You can also chyeck if you are being charged the correct fee by logging on to My Sky here:

      Sky.com - My Sky

And then select 'Sky Shop' and you should see both your TV and Broadband packages on the right handside. For Broadband for me it says " -Connect 5.00".

I think you are seeing that message ashryalls because you are not yet on the Sky network.

I have been a sky customer for over a year, I have never purchased anything online!

I can log in ok, but if I click on 'Sky Shop' I get that error!

Well that is odd as it works for me, it even says about my 25% discount on the full TV package and that it expires in July
