Server down as of 2 am 23 Feb 07

I was informed by Tier 1 TS this morning that Sky are having server problems which may mean you can't connect to interent. They are "working on it" but they have no time for it to be fixed by.

      Hope that helps people.

(And all this after i only got SKY BB back yesterday after 5 weeks of a hijacked line)

Re: Server down as of 2 am 23 Feb 07

Is this problem connected in any way with my connection problems? I lost BB at around 22:00 last night and rang Sky support. They said there was a major outage at my exchange (Wickford) along with a number of other exchanges in the area (Canvey Island,Witham etc). Still no bb this morning - now on dial up - so I rang them and all they could say is that engineers are working to resolve the issue. Looked at the easynet status page and that just mentioned a fault for Chelmsford exchange "Due to a backhaul fault we have lost connectivity to the Chelmsford exchange. This is with our supplier". I'm guessing that is related.

Hopefully one of the peeps who come on here from Sky will let us know whats happening. Can we change to the DNS servers that are working? Or have we just got to wait like mushrooms.. FSAKITD?

I don't think it is down to your area, my email went down at about 11pm last night and the net followed at around 2am, still not working as of 9am 23/02/07.

I'm in Swindon about 150+ miles from you... Great!

I do occasionally get some BT problem page come up when I try and connect but I think this is just down to the Sky servers not working.

Well it wasn't the bog standard "cannot connect to server" thing it was a BT Wholsale page basically saying there is a problem and it will be rectified "soon".
