      lap top connections

      My base unit is conncted wirless, but i also have 2 laptops which have built in wireless connections, but i am unable to connect it just says networks not found. Can someone tell me what to do or what im doing wrong.

      Have you flicked the wireless network switch 'on' on the front of the laptop. By default the wireless adapters in laptops are switched off and there is a little switch on the laptop to switch it on.

      Try changing the security on the router to WEP.

      saw one not long ago with built in wifi (not card) it was enabled/disabled from the bios

      got an acer laptop it found networks

      all i had to do was put in the network key.

      if you have locked out the router, it needs to be broadcasting the ssid for the laptop to find the network

      you already have a wirless connection have you set up the
      access list in the past and forgot, because this will not allow any connections to your network, only ones with the mac address you might of enterd or trusted.
